Our 30 Day Returns Policy

We want to make sure you're happy with your order.

If you're not happy with your order for any reason, you can return the products in their original re-saleable condition, in the original packaging with shrink wrap and labels intact for a full refund within 30 days of receiving the item.
You can return any product providing it has not been fitted, assembled or modified in any way.

If you need to return a product please contact us for a Returns Authorisation Number. We cannot accept cancelled orders or returned products unless they are accompanied by a Returns Authorisation Number.

We will refund the price of the item or exchange the product once it has been received by us.

Defective Items
You can return defective or faulty items within 30 days of receipt.

Specially Manufactured Items
We often place orders where lights and fittings have to be manufactured to specific requirements and with bespoke finishes

Because specially manufactured items are unique and made to your specific requirements we are unable to accept returns except where the item is defective or faulty, or does not correspond to your express written requirements.

Orders Not Returned in Original Condition
If we receive items which are not returned in their original condition, with packaging intact we reserve the right to decline refunds.

Delivery Charges for Unwanted Goods
If you want to return goods because they are unsuitable for you or you have changed your mind, please return your order by post at your own cost within 30 days.

If necessary, we can arrange a carrier to collect the goods for which we make a small charge. Please contact us for further information as collection costs can vary. 

You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or during transit.

Returning Faulty Goods or Damaged Goods
We pack every order carefully to ensure safe delivery.

Upon delivery, please check your order carefully. If your order is damaged upon delivery, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt.

If goods supplied to you develop a fault within 12 months, please notify us within 7 days of the date you discovered the fault.

Incomplete Orders/ Shortages
If your order is not complete or doesn't contain everything you expect, please contact us with 5 days of delivery.

When you contact us, please provide full details of your delivery information and your receipt.

Goods Lost in Transit
If your order has not been delivered within 5 days of your delivery advice note, please contact us immediately so we can investigate on your behalf.

Refunds
We will issue you credit on return of the damaged/faulty goods in the original packaging and in the original condition including standard delivery charges you incur in returning the item.

Providing the goods have been returned as specified above we will refund your delivery costs.

If you do not return the goods as required, John Hill Lighting reserves the right charge you a sum to meet the direct costs of recovering the goods. Please return goods within 30 days of receipt.

Time Limits
We reserve the right to decline to refund goods, investigate shortages or accept returns where you have not notified us within the time limits stated within this returns policy.

Orders placed with us which are not an online purchase fall outside the Distance Selling Regulations. Goods purchased from us which have been specially ordered cannot be returned to us for credit or refund unless the goods are faulty.
