Lighting up the Westcountry for the past 50 years, the firm of John Hill can claim to have the largest selection of lights in the UK at their vast showrooms on the Marsh Barton trading estate, Exeter. Founded by the late Mr John Hill in 1957, the company moved to Marsh Barton in 1960 and are probably the longest residing tenants on the estate.

Their ranges come from many parts of the world, but the exclusive styles which are a hallmark of their showrooms come mainly from Europe.

Their wide selection of crystal chandeliers are breathtaking and come in all shapes and sizes to suit modern as well as traditional rooms.

But there are so many styles of lighting available in the various room settings, from delicious pieces of Art Deco and Tiffany to traditional brass and wrought iron, that many customers are simply spoiled for choice.

On a more practical note, the firm have studied the bathroom and kitchen market and two sections are devoted to these important rooms.

To complement the glittering array of lighting is a generous selection of beautiful mirrors, consoles, figurines and good quality ceiling fans.

Just as important as the merchandise are the staff, some of whom have been with the company since the beginning, and whose expertise in the lighting trade is legendary. Although Mr Hill died ten years ago, the company is still family run and continue to put quality and service to customers above all.
